Children's and Family Yoga

Yoga for children is all about movement and mindfulness. Getting young bodies active and encouraging a growing awareness of their bodies and the amazing world around us. Firing up the imagination and practising yoga through storytelling, games and fun! Yoga sessions are based around themes such as "Going on Safari" or "Superheroes", incorporating physical and emotional themes such as courage and gratitude. As an experienced primary school teacher and a mum of two I know how important yoga is for children. More so now than ever!

Family yoga sessions allow the grown ups to get involved too! Parents, grandparents, carers can come along with the youngsters and enjoy the journey together. In these sessions there will be more partner and teamwork so be prepared to join in!

I have experience teaching yoga in schools and groups from preschool up to Year 6. Please get in touch if you would be interested in a visit from Amber as a one of workshop or a regular club.

I can also offer Birth Party yoga sessions. Read this testimonial from a party in 2025...

"I'm not sure where to start with a recommendation for Amber, simply because the experiences that she provides speak so eloquently for themselves.

Having chosen to throw a yoga party for our youngster, we started our search for a suitable teacher. We knew we had uncovered party gold as soon as we started talking with Amber. From start to finish, the whole process was calm, fun and put us at ease. Her enthusiasm was clear, as was her experience and when the party itself arrived? Nothing but joy!

Faced with nine quite rowdy and one quiet partygoer, Amber delivered a magical flow and has unearthed unfound calm and presence in every little one, in just 45 minutes. After this, we all broke for a little lunch and then Amber resumed her other-worldly child wrangling talents into a craft session with fully engaged children that were having a wonderful time. I was inundated with grateful parent messages after the event, as well as shining testimonials from all of the little ones.

Amber is not the cherry on your party sundae, she brings the entire ice cream extravaganza and sprinkles everything with just the right amount of mind and body awareness, plus a little magic. I would not hesitate to recommend her."
